Bajaj Auto to Launch Eight New Motorcycles by Mid-2026, Pulsar Range in Focus

Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch eight new motorcycles over the next four to five months, as part of a broader strategy to refresh its product lineup by mid-2026. These launches will primarily take the form of model refreshes and new variants, with a strong emphasis on strengthening the Pulsar brand, especially in the 150cc-plus segment.

Pulsar to Remain the Core Focus

Speaking to analysts following the company’s Q3 FY2026 earnings announcement, Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto, said the company’s immediate focus is on rebuilding the Pulsar franchise.

He explained that Bajaj intentionally held back product launches during the festive season to avoid disrupting sales momentum, even as rivals introduced new models, particularly in the 125cc-plus category. Early feedback on recently launched premium Pulsar models has been encouraging, though Sharma noted that it is still early to draw firm conclusions.

With plans to introduce two new or refreshed products each month over the next two quarters, Bajaj expects to have a substantially updated portfolio by mid-year. This, the company believes, will help stabilise market share over the next six months before outlining its next phase of growth.

New 125cc Brand and Dominar Expansion on the Cards

Beyond Pulsar, Bajaj is also working on expanding its brand portfolio. Sharma confirmed that the company sees a strong case for a dedicated 125cc brand to create a clearer price ladder below Pulsar.

At the premium end, Bajaj plans to expand the Dominar range, particularly with global markets in mind. Notably, Bajaj sells more 250cc-plus motorcycles in Mexico than in India, highlighting the importance of exports in its future product strategy.

The company is also evaluating new formats such as dual-sport and off-road motorcycles, which could either debut under a new brand or revive some of Bajaj’s existing but dormant brand names.
