The Ioniq 3 is expected to be closely related to the upcoming Kia EV4 and will use Hyundai Group’s 400V E-GMP platform. It is anticipated to offer a maximum driving range of up to 628km on a full charge, although battery pack options have not yet been confirmed.
Series production will begin in Q3 2026 at Hyundai’s Izmit facility in Turkey, where it will be built alongside the i20.

Hyundai’s Strategy
Hyundai Motor Europe CEO Xavier Martinet told Autocar UK that both the Ioniq 3 and i20 will be produced at the same plant, allowing Hyundai to flex production volumes based on market demand.
He also confirmed that the Ioniq 3 will make its public debut at Milan Design Week in April 2026, strengthening Hyundai’s growing EV portfolio in Europe — which currently ranges from the entry-level Inster to the flagship Staria.
