Cadillac Reveals 2026 Formula 1 Livery Ahead of Debut Season

Cadillac is officially set to join Formula 1 in 2026 as the 11th team on the grid, and the American manufacturer has now unveiled its striking race livery for its debut season. Cadillac will become the second U.S.-based team in F1 after Haas and will use Ferrari power units during its early years in the sport.

The 2026 Formula 1 season begins with the Australian Grand Prix from March 6–8.

Split Black-and-White Design with Cadillac Identity

The Cadillac F1 car features a bold split livery, with one side predominantly black and the other white. The gradient between the two tones is composed of multiple Cadillac chevron logos, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.

“This livery represents far more than a paint scheme; it represents who we are and what we bring to Formula 1,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of Cadillac Formula 1 Team Holdings.

Cadillac revealed the livery during a Super Bowl TV spot, followed by a live display in Times Square, marking a high-profile global introduction of the team’s identity.

Initial testing during the Barcelona shakedown

However, both outings used a special test livery. The newly revealed design will be worn during the official race season.

New Era of Formula 1 in 2026

The 2026 season marks a major technical reset for F1, introducing:

Active aerodynamics

Power units with an almost 50-50 split between combustion and electric power

This regulation change opens the door for new competitors, with Audi and Cadillac joining the grid alongside existing teams.

Perez and Bottas Lead Cadillac’s Debut Campaign

Cadillac has signed Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas for its debut season, forming one of the most experienced driver line-ups on the grid with a combined 526 race starts.

While Cadillac is developing its own in-house power unit, it is not expected to be ready until 2029. Until then, the team will rely on Ferrari power units.

Next Steps: Bahrain Pre-Season Testing

Cadillac will now head to Bahrain for pre-season testing, scheduled to begin on February 11, as preparations continue for its historic first season in Formula 1.
